who frequents Etsy?
Etsy is a massive meetingonline-fleamarket’esq place, where you can shop for exquisite handmade things.

I’m not so much a sucker for ‘handmade’, but I AM a sucker for odd knicky-knack’y things, and uhm… weaponry. made into jewelry.

I got my Robot necklace in the mail just yesterday, and thought I’d highlight some of the stuff I’ve gotten from Etsy.

This is Mr. Robo, by the Etsy seller Downabove. I saw a stylized photo of him on another bloggers website and decided I needed to have one. I originally thought he was a metal robot, but Downabove’s Etsy shop is all polymer clay. Vcky loves robots.

Everyone balks when I tell them how much I spent on my knife earrings, but I don’t regret a single penny. It’s a pair of hand-carved hand-painted wooden knives, and they’re soooooooooooooooo cool.

On the left are a set of Wii-Mote earrings by TheClayCollection. If you have time to check out one site and want a blast of nostalgia, go see the shop. There’s Nirvana CD-cover earrings, floppy disk cuff-links, and pac-man stuff.

On the right is my almost favourite pair of earrings by HushHush. Meat cleavers. Yep.
