I started using instagram lately. I feel like I’m cheating professional photography, by taking crappy pictures with my cell phone and then putting a predetermined filter on it. The account is mostly pictures of stuff I draw with pen/paper, pages and pages of love letters to Spike, and my dog doing indecent things. So that’s one more thing you can follow me on, if you miss your daily dose of chickenscratch.

Also, I have this beer gut that I’ve been trying to work off. And I just cringed badly when I typed “trying”, because “trying” is just me poking it 20 times every hour on the hour.

None of that has any relevance.

Look at this mug I have! It’s one of those MAKE YOUR OWN OVERPRICED STARBUCKS TUMBLER things, and because I’ve been poking my stomach for the last hour and trying to make irrelevant things sound important – I wrote out what I could fit of the Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit Amet……….

And I like instagram.

I’m trying to get a much needed new revamp done to the site, and it’s a small but steep learning curve! Sorry about the lack of consistency over the next few weeks as I get this sorted out, but 2011′s looking to be pretty snazzy!

So my iPhone camera’s been doing this weird thing where it shows right-side up on the phone and the second I upload it or email it somewhere, it is sideways. Like the rain.

Here’s my three Valentines Day card designs! So far they’re only on sale at the UBC Bookstore.

Some girl stepped on my heel today while I was walking into a building. My entire shoe came off, and when I turned around she said, “HEY, watch it!” and gave me a dirty stare. I was standing there on one leg trying not to teeter over and I was LIVID. I turned beet red and snarled at her retreating figure-

“WHAT!”

O’course, she was long gone by then and wearing headphones so it didn’t mean nothing. But I felt all right.

Ugh. I should have- I should just-

My holidays were aiight. I hope your holidays were full of amazing sauce. The stxx hid in the closet all Christmas season ‘cus I had this power-trip thing going on and decided I was going to make them a bit neurotic. They miss you a lot and don’t regret leaving that closet.

So my mom got me these NAIL ART things from Japan, because she’s a darling and because people get the biggest urges to buy weird shit in Japan. They’re all 3D by the way, and we can all blame James Cameron for that.

I painted my nails after dinner so I could procrastinate digesting, and halfway through painting the middle finger of my left hand I decided I ought to use these James Cameron nail stickers. My brains envisioned a glorious evening of decorating my nails and then running down to show my mom, after which we would bond over her flattery of my nail artistry.

I used the flower ones. I agonized over where to place them on each nail, and was highly satisfied with the result.

It wasn’t until everything was dry and I decided to type this post, that I CRINGED awful badly when I peripheral visioned my nail art typing away at my keyboard.

It looked like- *retch warning* – little PUSTULES had grown on my nails. It was so disgusting I couldn’t even keep them on long enough for a picture, let alone run into the next room to gross out my sibling.

So instead of a beautiful, heartwarming article about how I wish all of you well and some bullshit about the weather, I end up typing this abomination about PUSTULES.

I’ll be back soon, in a less moronic fashion.
For now though – this nail polish remover smells like a party I need to crash.

As strong as 1 Shakeweight

I was at the Urban Glamour Market last Wednesday, with a little table hawking my wares. Hi again if I met you there! I’m sorry I ran out of “I GOTTA PEE” buttons.

It’s been interesting these last few months, watching VCKYSTXX grow slowly but small’y – especially when the face of your small company isn’t your face, but that of a three-haired stick thing. Thus, I’m VERY proud of the inroads they’re making! This “referring to my creation as a separate conscious entity” is also doing wonders for my psychological state.
